We study the ecology, genetics and evolution of reproduction. We mostly study plants, but we also use yeast to study adaptation, mutation and the evolution of sex and recombination. Our approaches are varied and include work in the field, the greenhouse and the lab (e.g., yeast culture, DNA sequencing, UV mutagenesis, molecular markers, image analysis, electron and confocal microscopy, etc.) as well as theoretical modeling.
